Dining room storage table

I found plans for this fantastic dining room table on Knock Off Wood (http://knockoffwood.blogspot.com/2010/01/plans-storage-dining-table-pottery-barn.html ) and knew I had to build it. The table we have now has seen better days, it's over 20 yrs old and some pieces walked away during one of our moves so it's more than a little wobbly. N and I bought all the wood to start on the table Fri afternoon and we've had a good time building this together. It's not often we spend all day working on something together without butting heads even a little. lol This has definitely been a project that needs 2 sets of hands!

The frame for the table this morning

With the inner aprons attached.

On top of the wood we used for the table top. We had to cut out the circle because we couldn't find a round top in the size we wanted.

The finished base with the feet attached.

N adding support to the bottom of the table top. That thing is sturdy now!

Whoohooo!!! Finished! Now on to sanding and staining!

With the feet it's a little taller than we had anticipated so our current chairs are too short but that's fine because we were planning to replace them anyway. Hopefully Anna will have the plans for her parsons chairs up soon and I can build those to the size I need!

So that's how we spent all day today! I think tomorrow morning we will putty all the screw holes and call it good until Mon and I'll start sanding!

I'm never going to stay caught up

Probably because no one reads this so I don't care.

I love bread. A lot.

N said he wanted a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and jelly beans.

N cheesing for the camera.

Patches with all our toys. She loves those toys. She killed all the squeekies.

This makes me SUPER sad but now I get to do some shopping on Pampered Chef.

Pooh chillaxing with Michelle. She was so funny sitting like this.

Playing catch up.

Didn't get around to uploading my pictures yesterday. We has snow for the 3rd day in a row and it was so strange to see it still falling.

Day 3 We need to dust a little more often.

Day 4 We love fresh rolls!

He's been "home" 1 year today.

Day 2 (yes, I know it's an old one but it's my blog)
Jan 8, 2009 Midnight. He finally made it home. Man what a long crazy year 2008 was and then HOLY CRAP where did 2009 go? I want my 2009 back and I want it to go a lot slower this time. I'm just not ready for the next round to be here already. We were apart way to much in 2009 and it just flew by. Makes me very sad and more than a little angry.

Really obvious I don't know what I'm doing.

nevermind

Snow!!

Today was our first big snow of the season, and when I say big I mean it sorta covered the ground and made things kind of white.

I'll start with my Day 1 Photo

Wow, really coming down out there now!

The girls really were not that thrilled at all. Pretty funny actually.
In this one Pooh is saying "Oh sweet Jesus it is FREEZING"

Followed by LET ME BACK IN!

Nicholas was off work and he stayed busy doing little things around the house to get ready for the deployment. He likes to have everything in perfect order and now he's playing a video game. It's been a good day.

Sooo not really sure what I'm doing here...

But I'm going to try to figure this thing out. Everyone I know is starting the 365 day project and I finally decided why not try it out. The picture won't always be of me, they will likely be of the girls a lot and probably some from the Boy once he leaves... which leads me to the title of this blog. Here we go again on our 3rd (AND LAST) deployment. Yippie. :(
