Our house in Clarksville has been on the market since April 15th. We’ve had very few looks and no offers. We’ve decided that if it doesn’t sell this month we are going it pull it off the market and try to rent it out. That was our last option but the market in Clarksville is really slow right now. If you drive through our old neighborhood it looks like half the houses are for sale. People are trying to get away from the 101st right now and I can’t blame them, we left too. Also it’s been 3 years since most people bought and generally people PCS every 3-5 years unless they request to stay longer or move sooner so it’s time for a turn over. We would LOVE nothing more than to have someone put in an offer this month but if that doesn’t happen we are praying we can find some great renters that will take good care of the house. We knew this was a possibility so we have plenty in savings so that isn’t an issue but I’d much rather keep that money in savings or use it for a nice vacation! As it is we could have taken a very nice vacation with the mortgage and utilities from the past June until now. That’s the risk you take these days I guess but some extra prayers would be really appreciated.
We are doing pretty good. Still adjusting to being together so much. In the army you get lots of practice on living apart but that living together thing is pretty tough too! This has been the longest we’ve lived together since Nicholas was in flight school. Kady is growing like a little weed and more of her personality comes out each day. She’s doing really good with house training and so far we’ve been a few days without any accidents in the house. The dog door is the best thing in the world! She does good walking on a leash but she’s not a huge fan of taking rides yet. I can’t blame the girl, as far as we know her first ride was in the middle of the night and she ended up in a dark alley all alone and her second ride was to the vet. We’re trying to take her on short rides to get her used to being in the car and feeling safe. We had briefly discussed coming home at the end of the month when he’s off again but it depends on how she’s doing in the car. One way or the other she has to get used to them eventually.
Mama and Daddy came to visit last weekend and we had a good time! It was nice to show off the house and area to them. We went to a few cool places shopping and I took them to the farmers market downtown. We also took them out to the hangar so they could see the helicopter that Nicholas flies. Ki and Pooh were very excited to see them and Kady was excited because they were! They did not want her to get any of their attention from the grandparents though! So jealous!!
It’s hard to get everyone looking at the camera! lol
My daylillies have seen better days now. The monster has chewed them to pieces. I’m pretty sure in this picture Pooh is telling her “go ahead, mama lets us in there ALL the time!!”
“Uh oh, oh Hi Mama! Don’t mind us!”
They like to lay under the little table in the corner of the room. Ki lays under there all the time and sometimes Kady will join her.
They are SO funny when they play together. Pooh still doesn’t get in on the fun but Ki will every now and then. She starts breathing hard pretty fast, Red dog needs more cardio. lol
